The Division of Management Services is currently recruiting to fill an IT Project Manager (IS Technical Services CNS/ADM) position. This position will be headquartered at the DOC central office in Madison, WI.

Position Summary

As part of the FIIT (Facilities Infrastructure and Innovative Technologies) Team, this position provides leadership and direction to security and facility-based IT related projects.

The primary responsibility and expertise is in the area of video surveillance, door control systems, network infrastructure management and security, body-worn cameras, drone and drone mitigation systems, key inventory systems, access control systems, and other specialized IT-integrated facility-based systems.

This includes, but is not limited to: cameras, servers, networking equipment, workstations, cabling, software, and specialized equipment used in these systems. This position will oversee the development, recommendation, design, and standards for surveillance and control hardware and software.

Extensive travel is incorporated in this position with site meetings, and some “hands-in” work assisting project techs with installing and maintaining these systems. This position will work closely with DOC bureaus and facilities, divisions, Department of Administration, and vendors in management of IT-integrated facility-based systems.

Salary Information

----------------------

The starting pay is between $104000 and $129750 per year, plus excellent benefits. Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire. The pay schedule/range is 07-32.

A 12 month probationary period is required.

Applicants must be legally entitled to work in the United States (i. e. , a citizen or national of the U.

The Department of Corrections will conduct criminal background checks on applicants prior to selection to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled. Upon hire, all new DOC employees are subject to fingerprinting.

The Department of Corrections may conduct pre-employment drug screens. Any applicant who is offered employment in a position which requires a pre-employment drug screen must pass the screen as a contingency to employment.

NOTE

This position is eligible to work remotely 100% of the time. For positions that allow remote working flexibility, working outside of Wisconsin will not be allowed.

NOTE

This position will be required to travel to DOC worksites as needed.

Qualifications

------------------

Minimally qualified applicants will have experience:

  • Tracking and reporting on the progress of a project.
  • Working with security and facility based IT systems such as network infrastructure, video surveillance, door and access control systems, body-worn cameras and drones, and building automation systems such as HVAC, water flow, and telecom systems.
  • Maintaining a working relationship with vendors, site contacts, and administrators.
  • Vetting, selection, promotion, and enforcement of technology standards.
