Do you want to be part of an exciting challenge to support enterprise applications state\-wide? We are seeking a technically skilled individual with a passion to learn and solve problems to join our enterprise team as a Computer Systems Engineer.
In this position, you will be focused on modernizing our existing infrastructure to align with the State’s evolving AI and cloud\-centered priorities. You will be involved in supporting load balancing, application delivery, virtualization, and cloud technologies. Responsibilities include maintaining these technologies in our on\-premise data centers and cloud environments.
This position is responsible for collaborating with team members to design automated solutions that will provide better services to our customers, working across state agencies to facilitate enterprise\-aligned solutions based on their needs. **What are we looking for? **
**Education and Experience:***Level 1:*
- Associate’s degree in information technology, networking, or a related field and
- 2 years’ experience supporting midsize to large enterprise IT environments
- Alternate combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case\-by\-case basis.

- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, networking, or a related field and
- 3 years’ experience supporting midsize to large enterprise IT environments
- Alternate combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case\-by\-case basis.
**Competencies:**
*Required experience:** AWS cloud infrastructure and services
- VMware virtualization and infrastructure
- F5 BIG\-IP application delivery and security technologies including WAF
- Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Linux server administration
- Enterprise infrastructure administration (deploy, configure, secure, maintain, troubleshoot, upgrade)
- Enterprise networking concepts (IPv4 addressing, DNS, VLANs, NAT, firewalls)
- Processing tickets and changes in ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms
*Preferred experience:*
- Containerization technologies (on\-prem and cloud)
- VMware NSX
- Rubrik backup and recovery
- Infoblox DNS and IPAM
- Enterprise certificate management / PKI
*Ability to:*
- Provide excellent customer service;
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing;
- Adapt to shifting business requirements;
- Explain technical issues to non\-technical people;
- Work with minimal supervision, and be a self\-starter;
- Develop innovative solutions to problems;
- Implement new technologies.
