About this role
About Stampington & Company
Stampington & Company is a publishing and media company dedicated to inspiring women through beautifully crafted magazines and content. Our brands — including Bella Grace, Willow and Sage, In Her Studio, In Her Garden, and Somerset Studio — celebrate creativity, mindful living, artistic expression, and finding beauty in everyday life.
We're looking for a resourceful, motivated Assistant Marketing Manager to help us reach new audiences, strengthen our marketing efforts, and uncover opportunities for growth.
About the Role
We're seeking a versatile, detail-oriented Assistant Marketing Manager to support our marketing team across multiple channels, including email, ecommerce, social media, content marketing, and customer acquisition.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys both the creative and analytical sides of marketing. One day you might be writing compelling copy for a new magazine launch, the next researching an untapped audience segment, optimizing website content, or helping execute a campaign designed to attract new customers.
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, an independent thinker, and a proactive problem-solver who is eager to learn, contribute ideas, and take ownership of projects.
While this role will support the Marketing Manager with day-to-day execution, we're especially interested in someone who can look beyond assigned tasks to identify opportunities, recommend improvements, and help our business grow.
Responsibilities
Marketing Campaigns & Content Development
● Support the planning, coordination, and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across email, SMS, social media, ecommerce, and other digital channels.
● Write, edit, and proofread engaging marketing copy for email campaigns, website content, product launches, promotional offers, blogs, and other marketing materials.
● Curate compelling content from our publications, archives, and creative community to support ongoing marketing initiatives.
● Help maintain marketing calendars, coordinate campaign deliverables, and ensure projects are completed accurately and on schedule.
● Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to develop fresh campaign concepts and promotional strategies that resonate with our audiences.
Ecommerce & Website Management
● Execute website content updates, including product descriptions, landing pages, promotional banners, collections, and other ecommerce content.
● Help optimize product pages and website messaging to improve the customer experience, discoverability, and conversions.
● Support merchandising initiatives, product launches, seasonal promotions, and subscription campaigns.
● Identify opportunities to improve website content, navigation, and the online shopping experience.
Audience Growth &
Lead Acquisition
● Research and recommend opportunities to attract new audiences, acquire qualified leads, and expand our customer base.
● Support the development and execution of lead-generation campaigns, audience-building initiatives, and customer acquisition strategies.
● Explore new marketing channels, partnerships, and promotional opportunities that could introduce our brands to new customers.
● Assist with audience segmentation and targeted messaging to improve marketing relevance and effectiveness.
Interim Social Media Coordination
● Assist with organic social media planning, scheduling, and content coordination across our primary brand accounts.
● Write and curate engaging social media content that reflects each publication's unique voice and audience.
● Maintain content calendars and coordinate social promotions supporting product launches, campaigns, and company initiatives.
● Monitor basic performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve engagement and reach.
● Provide interim social media support until a dedicated social media professional is hired.
Research, Strategy & Business Growth
● Research emerging marketing trends, consumer interests, industry developments, and competitive strategies.
● Identify and evaluate opportunities to reach new markets, develop additional revenue streams, and increase customer engagement.
● Monitor marketing results and help translate performance insights into actionable recommendations.
● Explore emerging technologies, including AI-powered marketing tools, that can streamline workflows, improve productivity, and support business growth.
Qualifications
● Experience in digital marketing, ecommerce, content marketing, or a related field.
● Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to develop persuasive, audience-focused marketing copy.
● Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
● Familiarity with email marketing, social media, ecommerce, and digital content management.
● Comfortable learning and working with marketing platforms, analytics tools, and emerging technologies.
● Resourceful, curious, and comfortable independently researching solutions and recommending new approaches.
● Ability to balance creative thinking with a results-oriented mindset.
● Strong communication and collaboration skills, along with the initiative to work independently.
● Willingness to learn new skills, take on varied responsibilities, and adapt as business needs evolve.
Experience with the following is a plus:
● Shopify or other ecommerce platforms
● Klaviyo or comparable email and SMS marketing platforms
● Google Analytics and digital marketing reporting
● Search engine optimization (SEO) and website content optimization
● Organic social media management and scheduling tools
● AI-assisted content development, research, and marketing automation
● Publishing, lifestyle, creative arts, or direct-to-consumer brands
Who Will Thrive in This Role?
We're looking for someone who enjoys variety, embraces challenges, and takes genuine satisfaction in seeing their work make an impact.
You don't need to be an expert in every marketing discipline, but you should be eager to learn, willing to experiment, and confident enough to bring new ideas to the table.
You'll be a great fit if you're someone who:
● Sees an opportunity for improvement and takes the initiative to explore it.
● Enjoys both creative storytelling and measurable marketing results.
● Can move comfortably between detailed execution and big-picture thinking.
● Appreciates the importance of maintaining a consistent, thoughtful brand voice.
● Is excited about helping a small, established company discover new ways to grow.
Why Join Stampington & Company?
At Stampington & Company, you'll have the opportunity to work with a diverse collection of creative brands and contribute to marketing initiatives that reach passionate, highly engaged audiences.
Unlike roles focused on a single marketing function, this position offers hands-on experience across multiple disciplines, meaningful opportunities to contribute ideas, and the chance to make a visible impact on the company's growth.
We're looking for someone who wants to grow alongside us.
