Accounting Services Staff Accountant

Currently, we are looking for a Staff Accountant in our Accounting Services team supporting our clients in the Bay Area and across the US. The ideal candidate would have prior experience with bookkeeping basics: know your debits vs credits, understand the Accounts Payable workflow, and how to apply cash payments received.

Additionally, we would love it if you have experience with or would be able to learn payroll processing (most of our clients are set up on Gusto) and month-end close. Most of our client base is set up on QuickBooks Online, so prior experience with that is a huge plus.

This position will entail managing multiple tasks for multiple clients as assigned by our Accounting Services Manager with the expectation that you can manage your time to complete tasks and ask for help/guidance as needed.

Other pluses include:

• Prior experience working with multiple clients in a professional accounting environment
• Experience with QuickBooks Online and other accounting software (QuickBooks Enterprise, Sage Intacct, Business Central)
• Experience using Ramp, BILL, and Expensify for expense management and AP processing
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including strong Excel skills
• Comfort using AI tools such as Claude and Perplexity for research and drafting, with the judgment to review and verify the results
