Job Title: Technical Project Manager
Location: Kansas City (hybrid with 3 days onsite)
Interview Process - Inperson
Project Planning & Delivery: Manage full life-cycle delivery for custom software from kick-off and architecture design through UAT, launch, and post-go-live support.
Technical Translation
Convert complex business requirements into clear technical tasks, architectural milestones, and development roadmaps.
Team Coordination
Lead distributed engineering, UI/UX design, business analysis, and QA testing teams through daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
Risk & Scope Management
Identify blockers, track dependencies, manage change requests, and mitigate technical risks before they impact delivery.
Stakeholder Communication
Serve as the primary technical interface for clients and internal leadership, providing accurate status reports and budget updates.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Experience: 4+ years managing software development or IT service projects, with a strong focus on bespoke or custom application delivery.
Technical Acumen
Solid grasp of system architecture, APIs, database design, cloud deployment (AWS/Azure/GCP), and modern CI/CD pipelines.
Methodologies
Expert knowledge of Agile/Scrum frameworks and traditional SDLC practices.
Tools
Proficiency with tracking software like Jira, Trello, Asana, or Git-based version control.
Soft Skills
Exceptional problem-solving, negotiation, and cross-functional communication abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior hands-on background as a software developer or technical lead.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, CSM, or PMI-ACP.
- Familiarity with leveraging automation or AI tools to streamline documentation and reporting.
