About this role
What if your workday ended at 3:30 PM, every day, with no evenings, no weekends and no IEP paperwork?
I'm reaching out because your background stood out, and I think you'd be a great fit for our Pediatric Occupational Therapist role at Specialized Speech Center.
Here's what makes this one different:
- 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday–Friday. Beat the traffic and have your evenings back.
- One location, no driving. You stay on-site at a private school in Miami Gardens all day, with no running between homes or clinics.
- Private therapy, not the school district. You work under a clinical plan of care, with no IEP meetings and no district red tape.
- A steady caseload of kids you get to know and watch progress all year.
- A team that has your back. You'll have pediatric OTs and SLPs to collaborate with, plus support from a practice that's been serving South Florida families for years.
- New grads welcome. We'll support you as you grow.
About the Position
Specialized Speech Center is a private pediatric speech and occupational therapy practice based in Hollywood, FL. We are hiring an Occupational Therapist to provide private outpatient therapy on-site at a private school in Miami Gardens.
This is not a public school or school district position. You will work for Specialized Speech Center, not the school. Services are private therapy delivered on the school campus during the school day, under a clinical plan of care rather than an IEP.

- Treat students one-on-one and in small groups, covering fine motor, visual-motor, sensory processing, handwriting, self-care and executive function.
- Write daily treatment notes, progress reports and re-evaluations in line with insurance and Medicaid requirements.
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers about goals and progress.
- Work with teachers and school staff on classroom strategies and carryover.
- Coordinate with our SLPs for students seen by both disciplines.
Requirements
- Active Florida OT license (OTR/L), or eligible to obtain one before starting
- Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- NBCOT certification
