Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Looker to visualize key performance indicators and business metrics.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business needs, and translate them into technical specifications for data models and reports.
- Perform data analysis using SQL, R, Python, and other analytics tools to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform strategic decisions.
- Manage ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure accurate data integration from various sources including SQL databases, Oracle, Talend, and Linked Data platforms.
- Conduct database design and query management within Microsoft SQL Server and SQL databases to optimize performance and support reporting needs.
- Support the entire Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) by analyzing requirements, developing solutions, testing functionalities, and deploying updates in an Agile environment.
- Develop comprehensive documentation using Visio or similar tools for data models, workflows, and technical specifications to facilitate ongoing maintenance and enhancements.
Skills
- Proficiency with business intelligence and reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, and dashboard development techniques.
- Strong knowledge of SQL databases including query management and database design principles.
- Experience with ETL tools like Talend or Bash (Unix shell scripting) for data integration tasks.
- Programming skills in R and Python for advanced data analysis and analytics automation.
- Familiarity with data visualization best practices for creating engaging dashboards that communicate insights effectively.
- Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and project management principles.
- Ability to analyze complex datasets using Excel data analysis techniques alongside comprehensive analysis skills.
- Knowledge of linked data concepts for integrating disparate sources into unified views.
- Experience with VBA scripting for automating Excel workflows and enhancing reporting capabilities.
- Technical proficiency in Oracle databases and Microsoft SQL Server environments.
- Skills in database design, data model design, query optimization, and report development aligned with business analysis needs.
