Role Description

The Quality Assurance Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Poway, CA. This role is responsible for planning, designing, and executing test activities to ensure the quality and reliability of software and systems supporting PCB manufacturing and related processes.

Day-to-day tasks include creating and maintaining test cases, performing manual testing, validating defect fixes, and documenting test results and quality metrics. The Quality Assurance Engineer collaborates closely with engineering, production, and IT teams to identify issues, refine requirements, and improve testing procedures and quality standards.

The role also involves contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, supporting root cause analysis, and helping implement best practices in software testing and quality assurance.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Quality Assurance and Software Testing skills, including understanding of QA methodologies and defect lifecycle.
  • Candidates should possess hands-on Test Execution and Manual Testing skills to validate functionality, performance, and reliability.
  • Candidates should possess the ability to design, document, and maintain effective Test Cases and test workflows.
  • Experience with test management tools, defect tracking systems, and basic automation concepts is beneficial.
  • Relevant experience in manufacturing, electronics, or PCB industry is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively on-site in cross-functional teams and manage multiple testing priorities effectively.
