About this role

Sr Director, Product Management, Dealer Marketing Solutions (Autopoint)

Who We Are

Solera is a global leader in data and software services that strives to transform every touchpoint of the vehicle lifecycle into a connected digital experience. In addition, we provide products and services to protect life’s other most important assets: our homes and digital identities.

Today, Solera processes over 300 million digital transactions annually for approximately 235,000 partners and customers in more than 90 countries. Our 6,500 team members foster an uncommon, innovative culture and are dedicated to successfully bringing the future to bear today through cognitive answers, insights, algorithms, and automation. For more information, please visit solera.com.

The Role

AutoPoint is how thousands of dealerships stay connected to their customers between visits. Today that means On Demand and Journey, proven owner marketing programs that drive service revenue and retention. Tomorrow it means a modern, omni-channel dealer marketing platform that follows the customer across the full relationship, from first lead through sale, service, and repurchase.

As Senior Director, Product Management for Dealer Marketing Solutions, you will own both. You will run and grow the current business while discovering, defining, and delivering the platform that replaces it. This is a hands-on product management role: customer discovery, problem definition, requirements, prioritization, and the discipline to say no.

You will work shoulder to shoulder with development and marketing operations, and you will pull the AutoPoint roadmap across the entire Dealer Solutions portfolio so dealers get one connected customer experience from lead marketing to sales marketing to service marketing.

What You’ll Do

Current Portfolio Ownership

  • Own the roadmap, performance, pricing, and customer outcomes for On Demand and Journey, the live owner marketing programs that generate revenue and serve dealers today.
  • Manage the P&L for the dealer marketing portfolio, including program economics, campaign margin, and the levers that move retention and service revenue for dealer customers.
  • Protect and improve the running business while the next platform is being built; no degradation in service levels, campaign performance, or dealer satisfaction during the transition.
  • Serve as the executive product point of contact for strategic dealer groups and the escalation path for product performance issues.

Discovery and Customer Insight

  • Lead structured discovery with dealers, dealer groups, marketing agencies, OEM programs, and internal fulfillment teams to understand what actually drives service and sales conversion at the store level.
  • Spend meaningful time in dealerships observing how marketing is planned, executed, and measured, and translate what you see into validated problem statements backed by evidence.
  • Size opportunities with data, separating what dealers ask for from what they will pay for, and build the business cases that justify platform investment.
  • Establish an always-on voice of customer motion including advisory councils, design partners, and win/loss analysis that feeds the roadmap continuously.
  • Maintain a rigorous view of the competitive landscape across dealer marketing, CRM-attached marketing, and agency service providers.

Platform Definition and Roadmap

  • Define the target state for the next generation dealer marketing platform: campaign orchestration across email, SMS, direct mail, digital, and in-store, plus audience management, segmentation, automation, and measurement dealers trust.
  • Write clear, testable product requirements and acceptance criteria; own the backlog, the prioritization framework, and the tradeoff decisions behind both.
  • Decide what carries forward from today, what gets rebuilt, and what gets retired, and sequence the build so value ships incrementally rather than in one large release.
  • Define the migration path for existing On Demand and Journey dealers, including packaging, pricing, communication, and the operational plan to move them without disruption.
  • Define success metrics up front for every major release and hold the product accountable to them after launch.

Delivery with Development and Marketing Operations

  • Partner daily with engineering on scope, architecture tradeoffs, estimation, and release sequencing; be present in the details rather than handing off documents.
  • Work directly with marketing operations and fulfillment teams on the execution realities that make or break a campaign, including data hygiene, deliverability, print and mail production, creative workflow, and compliance review.
  • Drive the operating cadence for the product: roadmap reviews, release planning, launch readiness, and post-launch performance reviews.
  • Partner with sales, customer success, and enablement to ensure every release lands with the field and reaches dealers.

Cross-Portfolio Customer 360

  • Work across the Dealer Solutions portfolio (DealerSocket CRM, iDMS, Automate, DealerFire, RedCap) to unify the customer record and connect lead marketing to sales marketing to service marketing.
  • Define the data, identity, and consent requirements needed to deliver one customer profile and one coordinated set of conversations across the dealership.
  • Collaborate with peer product leaders to build joint solutions that are more valuable together than apart, and quantify that value for dealers and for Solera.
  • Influence platform and data investment decisions so dealer marketing needs are represented in shared roadmap priorities.

Leadership

  • Lead and mentor a team of product managers; set goals, provide coaching, and build a high-performance, evidence-driven product culture.
  • Report roadmap progress, adoption, and financial performance to senior leadership, using data to drive investment priorities.
  • Influence cross-functionally without direct authority across Engineering, Marketing Operations, Sales, Legal, and Finance.

What You’ll Bring

Experience and Education

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years in product management within an Enterprise SaaS environment, including 4+ years leading and developing product teams.
  • Proven ownership of a marketing technology, martech, CRM, or customer engagement platform, ideally one you helped replatform without disrupting the running business.
  • Demonstrated track record taking a product from discovery through definition, launch, and measurable revenue contribution.
  • Experience owning a product P&L including pricing, packaging, and business case development.
  • Automotive, vehicle lifecycle, dealership technology, or adjacent vertical experience highly desirable.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong discovery craft: customer interviewing, problem framing, opportunity sizing, and the judgment to distinguish what customers request from what they need.
  • Deep working knowledge of omni-channel campaign orchestration, audience segmentation, marketing automation, deliverability, and attribution.
  • Ability to write crisp requirements and make prioritization tradeoffs that engineering and operations teams can act on immediately.
  • Comfort with data models, integrations, and API concepts; you do not need to write code, but you must speak fluently with engineers.
  • Excellent executive communication; you can craft a compelling narrative for dealers, customers, and internal stakeholders alike.
  • Business acumen with the ability to build financial models, business cases, and ROI frameworks for product investments.
  • High agency, self-starting mindset with comfort navigating ambiguity in a fast-moving, transformation-era company.

Desired Experience and Knowledge

  • Experience shipping AI or machine learning capability into a customer-facing product, with the judgment to tell real value from demo theater. Next best action, generative content, predictive timing, and audience discovery are all on the horizon for this platform.
  • A working understanding of how AI search and answer engines are changing customer acquisition, and what that means for how dealer inventory, offers, and content need to be structured and syndicated.
  • Familiarity with customer data platforms, identity resolution, and consent and privacy frameworks including TCPA, CAN-SPAM, and CCPA.
  • Fixed operations and service marketing experience, including service scheduling, declined services, and owner retention programs.
  • Experience with AI tools and rapid prototyping to accelerate discovery, requirements, and stakeholder alignment.
