JOB DUTIES

The Litigation Attorney will be responsible for managing a foreclosure caseload from referral through resolution, ensuring all matters are handled accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable Florida laws, court rules, client guidelines, and firm procedures.

The candidate will handle all aspects of foreclosure litigation, including reviewing and drafting pleadings, attending hearings, communicating with clients, and overseeing case progression and deadlines.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience practicing law, with substantial experience in foreclosure litigation.
• Must be licensed to practice law in Florida and in good standing with The Florida Bar.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Florida foreclosure laws, civil litigation procedures, court rules, and foreclosure-related deadlines.
• Proven ability to independently manage a foreclosure caseload and move cases forward efficiently from inception through resolution.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, organizational, and case management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and internal staff.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook. Experience with Excel and foreclosure or legal case management systems, including Perfect Practice, Case Aware, LoanSphere, TEMPO, Serengeti, or similar platforms, is preferred.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment, identify and resolve legal and procedural issues, and make sound decisions with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, compliance, productivity, and quality of work.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet strict deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced legal environment.
• Prior experience with mortgage servicing, creditor’s rights, real estate litigation, or representing mortgage servicers, lenders, or investors in foreclosure proceedings is highly desirable.
