This is an opportunity to play a key leadership role in our accounting operations while working closely with the Controller and teams across the organization. The Accounting Manager will help ensure accurate financial reporting, strengthen internal controls, improve processes, and support projects that impact the business.

What You'll Do

• Lead and support the month-end close process, ensuring financial information is accurate, complete, and delivered on time.
• Oversee general ledger entries, account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, cash receipts, fixed assets, inventory reserves, and other key accounting activities.
• Review financial information and perform analysis to identify discrepancies, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
• Partner with accounting team members to research and resolve issues and provide guidance on accounting practices and reporting requirements.
• Support the Controller with financial reporting, audits, special projects, and corporate reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with Operations, Human Resources, Legal, Tax, and other departments to ensure financial information is complete and accurate.
• Help maintain strong internal controls across branch locations and the Corporate Office.
• Identify financial and operational risks and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Implement improvements that increase the efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness of accounting processes.
• Assist with internal audit findings, remediation efforts, and company-wide accounting initiatives.
• Participate in strategic projects, including ERP implementations, system enhancements, and process improvement initiatives.
• Take on additional accounting and business projects as needed.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or management experience.
• Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build productive working relationships across departments and levels of the organization.
• Sound judgment and the ability to make decisions using data, experience, and business knowledge.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems or ERP implementations is a plus.
• Ability to occasionally adjust work hours during month-end close or critical project deadlines.
