**Pay:** $18\-$30 per hour, based on skills and experience

We are a growing manufacturing business looking for a **Product Designer** to help design, prototype, improve, and visually showcase physical products that go into production.

This role combines hands\-on product development with realistic product rendering and graphic design. It is ideal for someone who enjoys problem\-solving, creating practical designs, and bringing products to life through both working prototypes and compelling visuals.

**Responsibilities**

  • Design and iterate parts using **Fusion 360, Onshape, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software**
  • Create designs optimized for **3D printing, sheet metal, laser cutting,** and **CNC aluminum manufacturing**, considering strength, production efficiency, and manufacturing constraints
  • Create realistic product renders in **Blender**, including modeling, materials, lighting, and scene setup
  • Create and edit vector graphics, product illustrations, and visual assets using **Adobe Illustrator or equivalent software**
  • Prototype, test, and refine product designs
  • Collaborate with the production team to improve manufacturability and reliability
  • Assist with basic electronics integration, including **PCB** and **Arduino\-based components**
  • Perform basic soldering and wiring for prototypes and testing
  • Document designs, revisions, and assembly notes

**Requirements**

  • Experience with **CAD software**, such as Fusion 360, Onshape, or SolidWorks
  • Proficiency in **Blender product rendering**, including:
  • Creating realistic materials and textures
  • Modeling products and supporting scene elements
  • Understanding and applying lighting techniques
  • Producing realistic renders that clearly showcase product details
  • Ability to use **Adobe Illustrator or equivalent vector design software**
  • Understanding of manufacturing principles and how design choices affect production
  • Basic knowledge of **Arduino or embedded electronics**, or a strong willingness to learn
  • Basic soldering skills or hands\-on electronics experience
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently, manage priorities, and follow through on assignments
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail and a practical problem\-solving mindset
  • Willingness to learn, take feedback, and improve designs

**Bonus Skills \- Nice To Have**

  • Strong copywriting skills
  • Ability to identify and communicate product features and customer benefits in marketing materials
  • An eye for motorsports aesthetics or an interest in motorsports
  • Experience communicating with customers by email, clarifying design needs, and translating feedback into practical solutions
  • Hands\-on familiarity with **3D printers and/or laser cutters**
  • Experience designing functional parts, enclosures, or mounts
  • Personal, school, or hobby projects involving product prototyping, electronics, or manufacturing
