About this role
About the Company
Silva Custom Construction, Inc. (SCC) is an established, family-owned Design+Build general contracting firm specializing in high-end remodels, additions, and custom homes throughout Morgan Hill, San Jose, and the greater South Bay. Established in 2008, our company provides comprehensive in-house design and construction services, delivering a seamless experience from initial consultation through project completion.
We are seeking a motivated, results-driven Sales Manager to help drive business growth, increase sales, and convert prospective client inquiries and warm leads into contracted projects.
This individual will play a key role in strengthening our sales process, building lasting client and partner relationships, and maximizing opportunities generated through our existing marketing efforts, referrals, and business development activities. This role will be responsible for partner development and lead generating partnerships.
The ideal candidate is a confident communicator, relationship builder, and strategic sales professional who understands how to guide prospective clients through the decision-making process and turn interest into signed contracts. Experience in residential construction, remodeling, custom homes, or other high-value home improvement services is strongly preferred.
This position requires a proactive, self-directed individual who can take ownership of the sales pipeline, consistently follow up with qualified leads, identify opportunities for growth, and represent SCC’s values of integrity, reliability, quality, and commitment to craftsmanship.
Responsibilities
Lead Conversion & Sales Growth: Manage and convert incoming inquiries, warm leads, referrals, and prospective client opportunities into signed contracts and revenue generating projects.
Sales Pipeline Management
Develop, maintain, and actively manage a structured sales pipeline, ensuring every qualified lead receives timely follow-up and consistent communication from initial inquiry through contract execution.
Lead Follow-Up
Establish a disciplined follow-up process for prospective clients who have requested consultations, received proposals, or are still considering moving forward with a project.
Client Consultations
Conduct initial sales calls, discovery conversations, and client meetings to understand project goals, scope, budget, timeline, and expectations while communicating SCC’s value and capabilities.
Proposal & Contract Follow-Up
Follow up on estimates, proposals, and contracts to address client questions, overcome objections, clarify scope, and move qualified opportunities toward a purchasing decision.
Sales Strategy Development
Identify opportunities to improve sales performance, shorten the sales cycle, increase close rates, and maximize revenue from existing marketing and referral channels.
Revenue & Sales Targets
Establish and work toward measurable sales goals, including lead conversion rates, signed contracts, total contracted revenue, and pipeline value.
CRM & Reporting
Maintain accurate lead records, client communications, follow-up tasks, sales forecasts, and opportunity statuses within the company’s designated systems, including Buildertrend as applicable.
Marketing Collaboration
Work closely with the marketing team to evaluate lead quality, track lead sources, improve marketing-to-sales handoffs, and ensure marketing efforts translate into qualified opportunities and closed business.
Relationship Building
Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective and past clients, architects, interior designers, real estate professionals, referral partners, and other sources of business.
Business Development
Identify new opportunities to generate qualified leads, strengthen referral networks, re-engage past clients, and expand SCC’s presence in the South Bay residential construction market.
Sales Presentations
Effectively communicate SCC’s Design+Build process, project capabilities, craftsmanship, and differentiators to prospective clients, helping them understand the value of working with one integrated design and construction team.
Cross-Department Coordination
Collaborate with company leadership, estimators, designers, and project management to ensure a smooth transition from the sales process to estimating, contract execution, and project handoff.
Client Experience
Maintain a professional, responsive, and client-focused approach throughout the sales process, setting clear expectations and building trust from the first interaction.
Sales Process Improvement
Review sales activity and results, identify bottlenecks or lost opportunities, and recommend practical improvements to sales systems, follow-up procedures, and closing strategies.
Market Awareness
Monitor local market conditions, competitor positioning, construction trends, and client needs to identify opportunities for growth and maintain a competitive advantage.
