About the Role

Sigma Beauty is seeking an Ecommerce Web Developer to own the development, maintenance, and optimization of our Shopify Plus website. This hands-on role partners with marketing, creative, and cross-functional teams to deliver engaging, user-friendly experiences that support product launches, campaigns, and business growth.

The ideal candidate combines strong frontend development skills with ecommerce, UX, and conversion optimization expertise and can independently manage website needs from concept through implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and customize Shopify themes, templates, sections, and features using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Shopify Liquid.
  • Own day-to-day website functionality, technical health, integrations, and third-party tools; troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Build and optimize product pages, landing pages, collections, bundles, and other shopping experiences.
  • Implement onsite promotions and product launches, coordinating content, merchandising, and digital assets with marketing and creative teams.
  • Improve site speed, usability, accessibility, and consistency across desktop and mobile.
  • Use analytics, customer behavior, and testing to identify opportunities to improve engagement and conversion.
  • Manage development priorities, coordinate with internal teams and external vendors, and maintain best practices for a stable, scalable website.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in web development, ecommerce development, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with Shopify Plus, Shopify Liquid, and theme customization.
  • Strong HTML and CSS skills, with working knowledge of JavaScript.
  • Understanding of ecommerce merchandising, UX, responsive design, accessibility, and conversion optimization.
  • Experience implementing product launches, promotional campaigns, and ecommerce pages.
  • Ability to use analytics to guide development and optimization decisions.
  • Strong project management, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities independently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with consumer, beauty, fashion, or lifestyle brands.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks, APIs, and ecommerce integrations.
  • Knowledge of SEO, paid media, and digital marketing.
