Engineer the Future of Cancer Treatment Delivery
Turning a breakthrough treatment-delivery concept into a safe, scalable, and reliable product takes more than great design it takes exceptional system-level leadership. As our Senior New Product Introduction Systems Engineer, you will shape how next-generation radiation oncology technologies move from development through industrialization and launch.
Your decisions will influence product architecture, manufacturing strategy, supply chain readiness, quality, cost, and scalability helping care teams deliver precise, efficient cancer treatment to patients around the world.
The Opportunity
You will be the senior manufacturing technical lead and system-level integrator for complex radiation oncology treatment-delivery products and platforms. Working across R&D Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory, Service, and Product Management, you will translate product intent into credible, scalable manufacturing solutions.
Operating with a high degree of autonomy and influence, you will establish manufacturing and Supply Chain intent early, make technical trade-offs visible, and ensure evidence-based readiness from prototype through production ramp. This is an opportunity to shape both the product and the way we industrialize innovation across a global manufacturing network.
What You Will Do
- Own manufacturing and Supply Chain intent for assigned treatment-delivery products, platforms, or ecosystems across the product lifecycle.
- Translate complex product requirements into clear system-level manufacturability, scalability, quality, cost, capacity, and supply-readiness requirements.
- Drive Design for Excellence with R&D, influencing architecture and design decisions to improve manufacturability, testability, serviceability, reliability, and lifecycle cost.
- Lead technical trade-off decisions across product performance, patient safety, quality, cost, schedule, supply risk, and long-term scalability.
- Orchestrate industrialization execution across Manufacturing Engineering, sites, and suppliers, aligning processes, tooling, validation, product configuration, and production solutions to system-level intent.
- Establish objective readiness governance for prototype, pilot, validation, transfer, and production ramp, ensuring decisions are supported by credible evidence.
- Identify and resolve systemic risk across design, manufacturing, suppliers, materials, capacity, configuration, and cross-site deployment before it affects launch.
- Build alignment without relying on authority, bringing clarity to ambiguity and influencing stakeholders across global functions and leadership levels.
- Advance engineering capability through reusable standards, lessons learned, data, and responsible use of AI-assisted tools to improve decision quality and execution.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in New Product Introduction (NPI), Manufacturing Engineering, Industrialization, Systems Engineering, or related technical leadership roles.
- Strong system-level understanding of product architecture, manufacturing processes, validation, product configuration, and Supply Chain interactions.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical work across global, cross-functional teams and influence decisions without direct authority.
- Proven application of Design for Excellence, structured problem-solving, risk management, and evidence-based decision-making.
- Ability to communicate complex issues clearly, frame credible trade-offs, and align technical and business stakeholders.
- Experience in radiation oncology, medical devices, or another highly regulated, safety-critical, and technically complex industry is preferred.
Why Join Us?
Few engineering roles offer this combination of technical depth, global influence, and direct connection to patient care. You will help determine how advanced cancer treatment technologies are designed for real-world production and how reliably they can be built, launched, and scaled.
You will join a collaborative global environment where strong technical judgement is valued, cross-functional leadership is essential, and your work can improve access to safe, precise, and efficient radiation therapy.
If you are a systems thinker who thrives on complex challenges, turns ambiguity into executable solutions, and wants to shape the future of cancer treatment delivery, we would like to hear from you.

The Senior NPI System Engineer is a senior product and ecosystem-level manufacturing technical lead responsible for defining and governing manufacturing (SCM) intent across the product lifecycle. The role operates with a high degree of autonomy and accountability, leading complex, cross-functional industrialisation challenges across multiple products within a broader product ecosystem.
Operating at system level, the role integrates SCM, R&D Engineering, Product Management, Quality, Regulatory and other key stakeholders’ inputs to ensure manufacturability, scalability, cost, quality, and supply chain readiness are designed into products early and governed throughout the product lifecycle.
The role also provides technical leadership across interfaces, dependencies, and trade-offs between products, platforms, and manufacturing networks to enable robust, scalable, and production-ready outcomes.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Serve as the global manufacturing technical lead and system-level integrator across Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and SCM, providing senior technical leadership across a broader product ecosystem.
- Own end-to-end manufacturing (SCM) intent and technical decision authority across assigned products or product ecosystems, including definition of system-level manufacturability requirements and accountability for global feasibility, scalability, and cross-product alignment.
- Drive Design for ‘X’ (DfX) alignment with R&D Engineering, ensuring manufacturability, testability, serviceability, quality, and cost objectives are designed into products, and influence complex design decisions across product, platform, and ecosystem interfaces.
- Orchestrate Manufacturing Engineering execution of scalable solutions (processes, tooling, validation), ensuring alignment with system-level manufacturing intent and effective integration across sites, functions, and product dependencies.
- Define, track, and maintain objective, evidence-based readiness criteria and status across prototype, pilot, and production builds, establishing transparent governance and decision support across complex, cross-functional industrialisation activities.
- Ensure consistent implementation of manufacturing intent across sites and suppliers, and provide senior system-level technical leadership into NPI program planning, execution, and cross-product industrialisation strategy.
- Lead resolution of system-level risks impacting industrialisation readiness and scalability, exercising independent judgement and accountability to resolve complex technical issues, manage trade-offs, and escalate decisions where required.
Key Focus Areas
- Product and ecosystem-level industrialisation ownership
- Cross-functional integration, alignment, and technical leadership
- DfX-driven product and platform development
- Translation of complex requirements into scalable manufacturing inputs
- Objective readiness governance and decision support
- Delivery of SCM-ready, scalable product designs across the ecosystem
Measures of Success
- Achievement of readiness criteria at key milestones across assigned products or ecosystems, supported by objective evidence before phase exit.
- Reduction in late-stage design changes through early manufacturing engagement, structured DfX governance, and proactive management of dependencies and trade-offs.
- Achievement of target first-pass yield at launch within the agreed stabilisation period, supported by robust industrialisation planning.
- Delivery of agreed DfX requirements by design release, with gaps documented and managed across product, platform, and ecosystem interfaces.
- Completion of industrialisation deliverables in line with planned build, validation, and launch milestones across assigned products, sites, and networks.
Minimum Required Skills and Knowledge
- Demonstrates strong system-level thinking across product, platform, and manufacturing, translating complex requirements into scalable manufacturing intent across a broader ecosystem.
- Applies deep knowledge of manufacturing processes and industrialisation methods to support scalable product introduction across multiple products, technologies, and sites.
- Applies DfX principles effectively and influences complex design decisions to improve manufacturability, quality, cost, and scalability across product and platform interfaces.
- Works effectively across global cross-functional teams, aligning stakeholders and providing technical leadership to deliver integrated manufacturing outcomes.
- Uses structured problem solving and risk management to support sound decisions, proactive issue resolution, and management of complex technical trade-offs.
- Applies AI-assisted tools effectively to enhance productivity and problem solving, while independently validating outputs against engineering data, requirements, and context.
- Develops and applies reusable workflows, governance methods, and standardised outputs to ensure accuracy, traceability, consistency, and scalability.
Required Education and Experience
