**Position Overview**

Sidock Group is seeking a motivated and detail\-oriented Project Designer to join our expanding gas distribution engineering team. This position provides an opportunity to work on a wide variety of natural gas infrastructure projects ranging from system improvements and capacity upgrades to new distribution system installations.

**Key Responsibilities**

· Plan, evaluate, and execute engineering designs for new natural gas distribution projects and improvements to existing facilities.

· Prepare engineering plans, specifications, calculations, and supporting documentation for projects of varying size and complexity.

· Design natural gas distribution infrastructure, including plastic and steel mains, service lines, and associated system components.

· Develop designs for low\-, medium\-, and high\-pressure gas distribution systems.

· Perform engineering analyses and calculations to support design decisions.

· Coordinate permit applications and work directly with local, state, and regulatory agencies through the approval process.

· Identify and resolve unique design challenges through sound engineering judgment.

· Maintain accurate project records, design files, and documentation.

· Track and document project communications, revisions, and design modifications.

· Conduct field visits, site assessments, and construction observations as required.

· Support project managers with scheduling, coordination, budgeting, and project delivery activities.

· Assist with technical proposals, scope development, and business development efforts.

· Participate in client meetings, design reviews, progress meetings, and pre\-construction meetings.

· Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

· Contribute to a culture focused on quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

· Develop technical and leadership skills with the goal of progressing into a Project Manager role.

**Education**

· Required: High school diploma or equivalent, with robust experience in AutoCAD Civil3D

· Preferred: Associate’s degree in CAD or engineering technology

· Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, GIS, or related discipline.

**Qualifications and Experience**

· Minimum two years of experience in natural gas distribution system design or related utility infrastructure projects.

· Proficiency with Autodesk Civil 3D.

· Strong analytical, technical, and communication skills.

· Preferred: Regulator station design experience.

· Preferred: Compression station design experience.

· Preferred: HDD planning and modeling experience.

· Preferred: EIT certification or progress toward licensure.
