Cloud Software Engineer

Job Description:

• The ideal candidate will become a member of a mature software development effort using Java as the primary language. The development effort uses Agile methods to assign, track and manage software activities and requirements within the team. This position will allow a software developer to develop and broaden their skills in the Java language as well as use technologies such as Quarkus and PrimeFaces. Use of these technologies allows for full stack development, to include ease of building User Interfaces

Basic Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in computer science or in a related technical field from an accredited college or university is highly desired which will be considered equivalent to four (4) years of experience.

NOTE

A degree in Mathematics, Information Systems, Engineering, or similar degree will be considered as a technical field.

• Shall have at least 5 years of experience in software engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, and problem diagnosis/resolution.
• Shall have at least 4 years of experience with Java.
• Shall have at least 3 years of experience in software integration and software testing, to include developing and implementing test plans and test scripts.
• One of the following certifications are required:

+ AWS Certified Developer - Associate

+ AWS Certified Machine Learning - Associate

+ AWS Certified Machine Learning - Specialty

+ AWS DevOps Engineer Professional

+ Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)

Additional Desired Qualifications:

Familiarity with:

• AWS Cloud technologies
• Quarkus
• PrimeFaces
• GitLab CI/CD
• Agile methods and tools
• Ability to work in a team environment; good communication and collaboration skills; self-starter

Salary: $200,000 - $250,000 annually
