About the Role:

A boutique law firm in Garden City, NY is seeking a driven and talented full time associate attorney with comprehensive civil litigation experience to join our dynamic legal team. Experience handling commercial, contractual, and/or real estate disputes preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and litigate civil cases in a variety of legal matters
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and legal memoranda
• Conduct depositions, client interviews, and witness examinations
• Perform legal research and case analysis to develop effective litigation strategies
• Appear in court for hearings, conferences, and oral arguments
• Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on complex litigation matters
• Maintain accurate and current billing records

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Active admission to the New York State Bar and in good standing
• 3+ years of civil litigation experience preferred
• Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• Experience with New York state and/or federal court procedures
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and a strong team player
• Interested in developing business
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and case management software
