- Maintain compliance: Oversee HR practices and records to support compliance with applicable Pennsylvania, Virginia and federal employment requirements.
- Develop and maintain policies: Keep company handbooks, management policies and HR procedures clear, consistent and current.
- Oversee workers’ compensation: Coordinate claims and related processes with employees, managers and providers.
- Advise leadership: Recommend practical improvements and help managers communicate and implement organizational changes.

- Working knowledge of employee relations, payroll, benefits, recruiting and employment compliance.
- Experience supervising staff and advising managers on sensitive employee matters.
- Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills.
- Sound judgment, discretion and the ability to work independently while managing competing priorities.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word and Outlook. Experience with payroll, timekeeping, HR and document management systems is preferred.
- A professional, approachable manner and a commitment to treating employees with respect.
Experience supporting multiple locations or an hourly workforce in grocery, retail, distribution or warehousing is a plus.
