Senior Cloud / Platform Engineer (AWS & Python)

We are seeking a hands-on Cloud Engineer to join a Cloud Infrastructure team focused on building and automating modern AWS-based platforms and services. This role will drive cloud adoption, infrastructure automation, and platform engineering initiatives while partnering with application, security, and infrastructure teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build AWS cloud solutions with a strong focus on automation and Infrastructure as Code.
• Develop Python-based frameworks, APIs, and tooling to support cloud operations and CI/CD pipelines.
• Improve cloud security, scalability, and operational reliability across the platform.
• Drive cloud transformation initiatives and promote engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical leadership and mentorship.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering or cloud engineering experience.
• Strong Python development background, including APIs, microservices, OOP, and testing frameworks.
• Experience building cloud automation solutions in AWS (Azure is a plus).
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
• Experience with FastAPI, Flask, Swagger, Git, GitHub/GitLab, and Jenkins.
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
• Financial services or high tech experience required
