About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Lead IT Infrastructure Engineer to oversee and strengthen the IT infrastructure across our global manufacturing facilities. This role will be responsible for ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable IT systems and network infrastructure that support day-to-day manufacturing operations and future growth.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in manufacturing IT environments, network infrastructure, virtualization, and IT security.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Information Security, or a related field.
- Proficiency in English as the working language. Must be based in the U.S. and available for annual business travel to Indonesia, the Philippines, and China.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure build and O&M, of which at least 3 years in IT infrastructure deployment for photovoltaic new energy and discrete manufacturing plants is preferred.
- Proficient in deployment, tuning and troubleshooting of server hardware and virtualization platforms including Sangfor, VMware and Nutanix. Proven track record of building medium-to-large virtualization clusters and implementing cross-site high-availability backup & disaster recovery architectures.
- Solid networking fundamentals with deep knowledge of factory industrial Ethernet and office network architectures. Skilled in configuration and O&M of switches, firewalls, wireless APs and other network hardware. Practical experience in cross-region WAN, SD-WAN, IPSec, MPLS and leased-line networking implementation.
- Familiar with server room construction standards and structured cabling specifications, with hands-on experience in server room planning, cabinet deployment and power & environment monitoring system implementation.
- Knowledgeable of ITIL O&M framework and AIOps. Experience in building standardized O&M workflows, monitoring & alerting systems and service desk mechanisms, with proven cases of improving O&M KPIs through AI and process optimization.
- Understanding of information security and data compliance requirements for US and multinational enterprises (e.g. NIST CSF, cross-border data transfer rules). Candidates with IT security and compliance experience in multinational manufacturing organizations are preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the planning, implementation and full-lifecycle operation & maintenance (O&M) of IT infrastructure for solar module factories, cell factories and warehousing sites across the US and Asia regions. Scope covers server hardware, factory industrial networks, office networks, computer room environments and other core domains to ensure stable operation of production and office systems.
- Lead the assessment, optimization and upgrade of existing IT infrastructure at factories and warehouses, including server cluster optimization, standardized computer room renovation, structured cabling system rationalization, end-user IT device refresh and lifecycle management, to continuously improve infrastructure reliability, scalability and O&M efficiency.
- Take charge of cluster architecture design, deployment and daily O&M for server virtualization platforms; build cross-site high-availability backup and disaster recovery systems to secure core business data and maintain business continuity.
- Establish systematic and standardized IT O&M management mechanisms, implement end-to-end monitoring and alerting frameworks, and continuously improve key SLA metrics such as incident rate, response time and mean time to recover (MTTR), so as to elevate the quality and efficiency of O&M services.
- Lead security and compliance initiatives for IT infrastructure, ensuring network architecture, data transmission and storage systems comply with cybersecurity, data privacy and network security regulations in the US and other countries of operation. Implement compliance audit and risk control measures.
- Plan and build a unified global corporate intranet interconnection architecture, roll out dedicated line / SD-WAN networking across regional factories, warehouses and offices to enable efficient, secure and stable connectivity among global sites.
- Manage the full lifecycle of IT infrastructure projects: develop project plans, control schedules and budgets, coordinate internal and external resources for delivery. Lead the regional O&M team by assigning work, providing technical guidance, and building team capabilities.
- Liaise with external IT vendors and service providers, manage service level agreements (SLAs), evaluate technical proposals and delivery quality, and ensure outsourced services meet business requirements.
