The Senior Product Manager will own the strategic direction of an antibody reagent and therapeutic-enabling product portfolio, turning deep scientific and market insight into a clear, actionable product strategy.

This role connects R&D teams, commercial stakeholders, and the broader life-science community to ensure that resources are focused on the antibody and protein products, formats, and markets that will have the greatest impact for researchers and drug developers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of product definitions and portfolio plans that strengthen and expand antibody reagent and protein technology offerings.

  • Evaluate resource allocation across new and existing products, balancing the portfolio mix in line with overall scientific and business objectives.
  • Conduct in-depth market analyses and build business cases to optimize current products and guide development of next-generation offerings.
  • Assess business opportunities by analyzing target markets, trends, emerging technologies, and the competitive environment in antibody discovery, protein engineering, and therapeutic development.
  • Identify and prioritize biological targets, disease areas, and customer segments where antibody and protein reagents can address unmet needs.
  • Track competitor activity and translate customer and market feedback into clear product requirements.
  • Define pricing and licensing approaches, in partnership with commercial and business development teams, that align with the desired market position and the organization’s goals.
  • Collaborate closely with platform, characterization, and disease-area teams to shape products and validate early product concepts.
  • Partner with business development colleagues on proposals, value propositions, and partnership structures that reflect portfolio priorities.
  • Coordinate with marketing and communications on outreach materials, presentations, and content that accurately represent product capabilities.
  • Represent the product portfolio at scientific conferences, partner meetings, and industry events as needed.
  • Track and manage the product pipeline, including timelines, deliverables, and reporting requirements.
  • Maintain organized, up-to-date documentation of portfolio decisions, market analyses, and product roadmaps.
  • Respond promptly to internal and external inquiries to ensure the organization is viewed as a reliable and collaborative partner.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues that could delay product development or the execution of partnerships.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (Ph.D. or M.S.) in a relevant scientific discipline and 5+ years of industry experience.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the antibody reagent and therapeutic landscape, from discovery through development and partnering.
  • Demonstrated track record in market segmentation, indication/target prioritization, and product portfolio management.
  • Strong organizational skills with experience coordinating multiple workstreams and competing priorities.
  • Effective, collaborative communicator across scientific, commercial, and leadership stakeholders.
  • Skilled problem-solver who is comfortable with ambiguity and capable of driving complex projects to completion.
  • Ability to translate complex scientific concepts into clear product and market strategies.
  • Preferred:
  • Experience in nonprofit, academic, or other mission-driven scientific environments.
  • Familiarity with IP and licensing, research agreements, and collaborative research models.
  • Established network within antibody, biotech, pharma, or protein engineering communities.
  • Experience with cell surface receptor or ligand biology.
