Sasserath & Co. is a boutique CPA firm focusing on sophisticated tax work for closely held businesses, trusts, private foundations and individuals. We are seeking a full-time Senior Tax Accountant with a strong technical tax background who is looking for a long-term growth opportunity. This is an in-office position with significant opportunities for professional development and advancement.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns of varying complexity
• Review and prepare quarterly and year-end tax projections and estimates.
• Assist clients with tax planning strategies and identify tax-saving opportunities.
• Perform tax research and analyze technical tax issues.
• Communicate directly with clients and respond to tax-related inquiries.
• Ensure tax returns are accurate, complete, and filed timely.
• Manage multiple engagements and deadlines throughout the tax year.
• Review work prepared by staff accountants and provide guidance as needed.
• Assist with training and mentoring junior staff.
• Stay current on changes in federal and state tax laws and regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing and reviewing individual, partnership, corporate, S corporation, and fiduciary tax returns.
• CPA preferred, or actively pursuing CPA licensure.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• Master's degree in Taxation is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines.
• Strong technical tax knowledge and problem-solving abilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
