Job description

About this role

Occupational Therapist — San Diego Occupational Therapy (SDOT)

Change the game. Change a child's life.

At San Diego Occupational Therapy (SDOT), we believe therapy should feel like joy — for our clients and our team. If you love working with children and young adults, and you're looking for a collaborative, therapist-owned practice where your voice actually shapes the direction of the clinic, you'll feel right at home here.

What makes SDOT different

We house occupational, speech-language, and physical therapy all under one roof — a 7,500+ sq ft, state-of-the-art sensory clinic with over 50 points of suspension. But we don't believe great therapy only happens indoors: our therapists also treat in homes, in the pool, and outdoors in nature, wherever it best serves the client (and lights up the therapist).

We build caseloads around what our therapists are most passionate about, because engaged therapists do their best work.

As a therapist-owned practice, our team isn't just staff — they're partners in decision-making and the direction of the clinic. We're proud of the culture we've built: respect, hard work, positivity, teamwork, and genuine camaraderie, with a strong emphasis on work/life balance and flexible scheduling.

What you'll get

  • Two weekly seasonal breaks. First break is during the week of the Fourth of July, and the second break is during Christmas Eve and New Year’s Day. Both of these breaks will be paid for.
  • Paid collaboration, staff meeting, and session-planning time
  • Structured mentorship program with shadowing and training in advanced specialties (sensory integration, feeding/swallowing, myofunctional therapy, auditory therapies, and more)
  • Paid CEU days and CEU financial support
  • Weekly bonus opportunities
  • Student loan repayment
  • 401(k) matching
  • Manageable caseloads — scheduled at a target of 75% of working hours
  • Leadership development and career advancement opportunities
  • A team that has fun together — company-sponsored events, and a clinic full of innovative equipment and assessments

Who we're looking for

SDOT has been a trusted name in pediatric therapy in San Diego for over 17 years. We're looking for an experienced, innovative occupational therapist who's excited to grow their sensory integration and feeding therapy skills — and who wants to learn alongside a team that's just as hungry to grow.

If you dream big, love learning, and want to be part of something bigger than yourself, we'd love to hear from you.
