About Salon Republic

Salon Republic provides independent beauty professionals with private salon studios, on-site support, education, and a community that helps them build their businesses on their own terms.

Our marketing connects beauty and independent professionals with the right studio while strengthening the experience of the members who already call Salon Republic home.

About the Role

The Marketing Manager turns Salon Republic’s marketing priorities into effective execution across our locations.

Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, this hands-on role manages the day-to-day delivery of campaigns, content, email, SMS, and education and event promotions. You’ll translate marketing plans into clear work schedules, coordinate internal teams and external partners, and ensure campaigns are accurate, on brand, and delivered on time.

We’re looking for a strong writer and organized marketer who takes initiative, follows through, and uses campaign results to improve execution.

This role also requires travel to Salon Republic locations to support local campaigns, events, and on-site marketing needs.

Key Responsibilities

Campaign Execution and Location Support

● Execute location-specific campaigns that support studio leasing, new location openings, prospect reengagement, and referrals.

● Travel to Salon Republic locations to support local campaigns, new location openings, member events, and coordination with salon and regional teams.

● Gather studio availability and local insights from salon and regional managers to inform campaign messaging.

● Manage campaign schedules, assets, and launches across channels.

Email, SMS, and Marketing Automation

● Build, schedule, and deploy prospect and member email and SMS campaigns.

● Maintain automated follow-up sequences that support the prospect journey from inquiry to tour and leasing decision.

● Manage audience segmentation by location, lead source, lead stage, and member status.

● Verify links, personalization, audience selection, and campaign details before deployment.

Content and Brand Consistency

● Write and edit copy for campaigns, landing pages, signage, and member communications.

● Apply established brand voice and design standards across marketing materials.

● Maintain accurate website content, location details, website directory, offers, and event information.

● Organize marketing assets so teams can easily access current, approved materials.

Member Communications, Education, and Events

● Execute communication plans for technical education, business-building classes, and member events.

● Coordinate registration pages, invitations, reminders, and follow-up communications.

● Manage routine member communications and support the rollout of marketing initiatives.

● Work with event coordinators and location teams to confirm details and meet promotional deadlines.

Project Management and Reporting

● Maintain the marketing calendar and track deadlines, dependencies, and deliverables.

● Keep stakeholders informed of project status and flag delays or decisions requiring escalation.

● Compile campaign and location performance reports covering lead generation, tour activity, engagement, and event registration.

● Identify opportunities to improve messaging, timing, targeting, and workflows.

● Implement approved tests and improvements, documenting results for future campaigns.

● Coordinate vendors and creative partners to keep deliverables on schedule and within scope.

Qualifications

● 5+ years of marketing experience, including hands-on campaign execution and project management.

● Experience supporting a multi-location, service-based, beauty, hospitality, retail, or related business.

● Strong copywriting and editing skills.

● Hands-on experience with email marketing, SMS, audience segmentation, and marketing automation.

● Working knowledge of Meta Ads, Google Ads, website content management, and campaign reporting.

● Experience with platforms such as Mailchimp, SlickText, CRM systems, Zapier, and Google Workspace.

● Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines.

● Ability to interpret performance data and recommend specific, actionable improvements.

● Confidence coordinating with salon managers, regional managers, creative partners, and vendors.

● Sound judgment about when to move work forward independently and when to escalate a decision.

What Success Looks Like

● Marketing campaigns launch accurately, consistently, and on time.

● Location teams receive responsive, reliable marketing support.

● Prospect and member communications are timely, relevant, and aligned with brand standards.

● Marketing workflows become more efficient through strong coordination, quality checks, and follow-through.
