We're hiring a full-time W-2 Registered Nurse (RN) to provide K–12 school-based services for the 2026–2027 school year. Position Details

• Caseload: School Nurse for High School
• Schedule: Monday – Friday
• Hours: Full-time or part-time opportunities available
• Dates: ASAP - June 2026 (with potential to renew)
• Location: Onsite in Portland

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 nursing support
• Provide academic and classroom support, as well as community vocational exploration
• Coordinate with parents, school staff, and healthcare providers as needed
• Maintain documentation and comply with school health and safety regulations
• Participate in IEP or 504 Plan meetings when relevant

Qualifications

• Current and Unrestricted Illinois RN License
• 1+ years of pediatric nursing experience
• Experience supporting students with complex medical and developmental needs preferred
• CPR and First Aid certification required
• Strong organizational, communication, and decision-making skills
• Compassionate, patient, and student-centered
