Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant – Lease Accounting– Our client seeks a Senior Accountant to join their team.

This is a long-term temporary opportunity, with plans to convert to a direct hire position. You will earn a starting salary up to $33/hour, based on your experience. You will work Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm in a hybrid setting.

Some of your responsibilities as Senior Accountant will include:

• Month End Close
• Preparing journal entries, accruals and more
• Analyzing income statements
• Account Reconciliations
• Performing balance sheet account reconciliations
• Performing trend and variance analyses to validate account activity
• Audit Support
• Preparing schedules, reconciliations
• Researching and resolving audit inquiries
• Supporting testing of internal controls
• Other duties as assigned

To qualify for this Senior Accountant position, you must have:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• Minimum of 3+ years’ progressive experience in an accounting or finance role
• Leasing, banking or financial service industry preferred
• SOX/Controls experience
• Experience booking journal entries
• Experience reconciling general ledger accounts
• Advanced Microsoft Excel, Power Query, complex formulas, data analysis and reporting automation
• Self-starter
• Financial systems experience
• Financial reporting experience with strong focus on GAAP accounting
