Controller

We are seeking an experienced business accountant to join our team as a Controller. You will assist senior leadership in developing, executing, managing, and reporting on company budgets. You will directly supervise our accounting staff and ensure all accounting policies are followed.

You will advise senior leadership of ways to control cost, increase profit and/or reduce financial risk/liability.

Responsibilities:

• Assist management with important financial decisions
• Prepare financial documents such as business reports, financial forecasts and statements to understand the financial state of business
• Supervise employees who work under the controller
• Monitor a company’s financial reports and determine ways to reduce costs
• Keep up-to-date on the financial market to understand how to maximize profits and find new expansion areas
• Understand the financials of a company in order to meet legal requirements and keep the financial state in good standing

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in accounting and CPA certification is required
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• The ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and management about the finances of the business and justify certain financial recommendations
• Attention to detail
• Strong math skills to make accurate calculations and estimates
• Good understanding of international finance
• Organization and project management
• Ability to maintain confidential information

Some Saturdays may be required, occasional overtime should be expected. Competitive wages with great benefit package including paid health insurance, vacation, 401(k). Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen, MVR and background check.
