Family Nurse Practitioner

Responsibilities

• Provide primary care services to patients of all ages from young adults to elderly.
• Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and assessments.
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses.
• Develop and implement treatment plans.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Prescribe medications and other treatments.
• Educate patients on preventative care and health maintenance.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care.

Requirements

• Current Family Nurse Practitioner credentials and authorization to practice as an advanced practice provider, as required by applicable jurisdiction.
• Strong patient assessment, clinical judgment, communication, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology skills; basic life support knowledge.
• Experience with primary care, clinic or medical office practice is relevant. Additional experience in hospital, emergency, critical care, dialysis, gastroenterology, occupational health, behavioral health, hospice, senior care, or pediatrics is valued.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner is preferred.
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR platforms; knowledge of International Classification of Diseases (ICD) coding and Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) coding is a plus.
• Additional skills may include telehealth, family planning, infection control, acute pain management, clinical research, and care for children, older adults, or people with disabilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay: $95,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
