About Rose Engineering

Rose Engineering is a growing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) consulting engineering firm based in downtown Knoxville. We partner with architects, contractors, developers, and building owners to design MEP systems for commercial, industrial, institutional, and specialty facilities throughout the Southeast.

The Role

We're looking for an individual capable of independently advancing project production while working collaboratively with project managers and engineers from design through construction. We are looking for someone who understands building systems, takes ownership of assigned work, and can help deliver accurate, coordinated construction documents across multiple disciplines.

What You'll Do

  • Develop HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection layouts, details, schedules, and specifications for commercial, institutional, and industrial projects
  • Help with load calculations, equipment selections, fixture calculations, and system sizing
  • Coordinate mechanical systems with architectural, structural, and electrical disciplines
  • Flag design conflicts and constructability issues early
  • Incorporate QA/QC review comments and keep deliverables on schedule
  • Support staff with Revit production

What We're Looking For

  • 4+ years of mechanical building systems design and CD production
  • Experience across HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection
  • Strong Revit MEP skills
  • Ability to read architectural and engineering documents and produce coordinated layouts
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable communicating with engineers and other disciplines
  • Comfort taking a project from an established design concept through construction documentation
  • A four-year engineering degree is not required. Relevant industry experience, technical proficiency, and demonstrated design capabilities are our primary considerations.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
