JOB GOAL: Provide district-level leadership for business intelligence, data analytics, dashboard development, data governance, and performance reporting in support of district strategic priorities, school improvement, operational effectiveness, and the College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI).

The position transforms structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data into accurate, timely, accessible, and actionable information; coordinates analytics and dashboard initiatives across district departments; and leads training and user support related to data visualization, dashboard use, and data-informed decision making.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in data analytics, data science, information technology, information systems, computer science, statistics, business intelligence, education, educational leadership, or a related field. Master’s degree or advanced professional training in a related field is preferred.

At least four years of progressively responsible experience in data analytics, business intelligence, reporting, data integration, database development, or a related field. Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and supporting dashboards using Tableau, Power BI, or a comparable business intelligence platform.

Proficiency with SQL, relational data, data modeling concepts, and the preparation of data from multiple sources. Demonstrated experience working with structured and unstructured or semi-structured data. Experience leading cross-functional projects and coordinating requirements, testing, validation, implementation, and support with multiple departments.

Demonstrated ability to explain complex data and technical concepts to non-technical audiences and to deliver effective training and presentations.

Strong analytical, organizational, written, verbal, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills Preferred candidates will also have :Experience in a K–12 public education environment ; Knowledge of Georgia’s accountability system, including CCRPI measures and related data-validation processes ; Experience with Infinite Campus, MUNIS, state longitudinal data systems, assessment platforms, or comparable education data systems ; Experience creating executive-level dashboards, performance scorecards, and analytics products that support strategic and operational decisions ; Experience with data warehouses, ETL and data-preparation tools, APIs, cloud analytics platforms, or statistical analysis tools; and Experience developing and delivering professional learning related to dashboards, analytics, data literacy, or data informed decision-making.

Physical demands - position requires mostly sitting and standing. Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, kneeling, and walking are required, with weights that don’t normally exceed thirty (30) pounds.

JOB DUTIES

Leadership, Strategy, and Governance Lead the district’s business intelligence, analytics, and dashboard strategy and governance by establishing development, accessibility, quality-assurance, publication, and lifecycle standards; coordinating and prioritizing dashboard requests; serving as the district’s subject-matter expert; and advising leaders on the appropriate use, interpretation, and limitations of dashboard information.

CCRPI, Accountability, and Performance Analytics Lead CCRPI, accountability, and performance analytics by collaborating with departments to define indicators, business rules, calculations, and validation procedures; analyze trends, gaps, and emerging needs; support accurate district, state, and federal reporting while preserving each department’s ownership of official submissions; and ensure alignment with CCRPI calculations and guidance from the Georgia Department of Education and applicable RCPS departments.

Business Intelligence and Dashboard Development Design, develop, test, deploy, document, maintain, and continuously improve interactive dashboards, reports, scorecards, and visualizations that translate district, school, and departmental goals into meaningful performance indicators and user-centered analytics products for executive, operational, and school-level audiences, applying data-visualization, accessibility, usability, quality, performance, and relevance standards.

Data Engineering, Integration, and Quality Work with structured data, including relational databases, spreadsheets, data warehouses, APIs, and standardized files, as well as unstructured or semi-structured data when appropriate to the approved business need.

Use SQL, data preparation tools, SFTP, ETL processes, APIs, and related technologies to acquire, transform, combine, validate, and prepare data for analysis and visualization. Collaborate with Information Technology staff and system owners on data architecture, integrations, source system definitions, refresh schedules, security, and performance.

2 Develop and document data-quality checks, reconciliation procedures, business rules, lineage, metadata, and issue-resolution processes. Protect confidential information and apply district requirements for privacy, security, role-based access, least privilege, retention, and responsible data use.

Cross-Departmental Coordination and Project Leadership Coordinate dashboard development across departments to reduce duplication, clarify data ownership, and promote consistent definitions and presentation standards. Manage dashboard projects, timelines, dependencies, testing, approvals, communications, and implementation activities.

Training, Support, and Data Literacy Develop and deliver district training and maintain user guides, data dictionaries, frequently asked questions, release notes, videos, training materials, and technical documentation for dashboard access, navigation, interpretation, development standards, data literacy, and effective use of business intelligence tools; provide consultation, coaching, troubleshooting, and support to authorized district and school users.

Supervise, provide guidance to, and evaluate analysts who will support Principals with monitoring student performance data. Professional and General Responsibilities Maintain current knowledge of business intelligence, analytics, data engineering, artificial intelligence, education accountability, and visualization practices that are relevant to assigned responsibilities.

Attend required meetings, approved conferences, and professional development activities. Demonstrate professional judgment, collaboration, integrity, confidentiality, and timely communication. Comply with district policies and all applicable requirements for mandatory reporting and employee conduct.

Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Pay: $75,028. 00 - $145,922. 00 per year
