Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Pediatric & Adult Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive occupational therapy services to patients across the lifespan, including children with developmental needs and adults requiring rehabilitation or support for various disabilities.

Duties
- Conduct thorough occupational therapy assessments to evaluate clients’ physical, cognitive, sensory, and functional abilities.
- Develop personalized treatment plans targeting specific needs such as assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), motor skills, sensory processing, and neurodevelopmental disorders like autism spectrum disorder.
- Implement occupational therapy programs tailored for pediatric populations, including early intervention and school-based settings, as well as adult care in outpatient, inpatient, skilled nursing facility, home health, and post-acute care environments.
- Assist clients with discharge planning and coordinate case management to ensure seamless transitions across care settings.
- Support clients in areas such as physical rehabilitation, occupational health, geriatrics, and occupational therapy assessments by applying physiology and anatomy knowledge.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation using electronic health records (EHR), ensuring compliance with clinical documentation standards and medical terminology.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams—including speech therapists, physicians, nurses, educators, and caregivers—to optimize client outcomes through clinical interprofessional collaboration.
- Educate clients and their families on treatment plans, progress expectations, and strategies for supporting ongoing development at home or school.
- Support autism spectrum disorders initiatives by implementing specialized interventions and supporting clients’ communication and social skills development.
Experience
- Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities across various settings such as outpatient clinics, schools, inpatient units, skilled nursing facilities, or home health environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in pediatric occupational therapy including early intervention programs and working with students with special education needs.
- Experience working with neurodevelopmental disorders like autism spectrum disorder and implementing evidence-based practices for diverse populations.
- Strong background in acute care settings such as ICU or hospital units; familiarity with post-acute care processes is highly desirable.
- Skilled in developing treatment plans that incorporate client-centered goals while utilizing clinical assessments and physiology/anatomy knowledge.
- Prior experience managing medical documentation accurately within electronic health records systems; understanding medical terminology is essential.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients of all ages and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to deliver holistic care solutions.
- Knowledge of working with individuals across the lifespan—pediatrics through geriatrics—and supporting their unique occupational needs through tailored interventions.
