About the Role

A fast-growing startup company is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to join its team. This is a hands-on Individual Contributor role for an engineer who loves building products, solving complex technical problems, and staying close to the code.

The engineer will join a small, highly collaborative team working on new product development and will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on how the technology and engineering organization evolves as the company continues to scale.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a senior IC and builder who can operate independently, learn quickly, and take ownership from idea through production. They should be comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where priorities can evolve and responsibilities aren’t always neatly defined.

The role is designed for someone who can contribute code, challenge ideas, make thoughtful technical decisions, and bring architectural and systems-level insight to the team while remaining deeply hands-on.

Key Technologies

• Next.js | TypeScript | PostgreSQL | CSS | Modern Web Development
• Experience with the exact stack is preferred but not required. Strong full-stack web engineering ability, startup experience, curiosity, and technical ownership are more important than checking every individual technology box.

What You’ll Do

• Build and improve customer-facing web applications and develop features end-to-end.
• Work within a product-focused engineering team supporting new product launches.
• Partner closely with Product and Design to bring new features and experiences to life.
• Develop polished, intuitive frontend experiences with particular attention to CSS, layout, interaction, animations, and overall user experience.
• Build and integrate backend APIs and work with application data models and PostgreSQL.
• Maintain and improve existing systems to support performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
• Contribute to architecture, code quality, DevOps, and engineering processes as the company grows.
• Evaluate and introduce new technologies and approaches that can improve the product or engineering process.
• Take ownership of technical projects from concept through production.
• Solve complex technical problems and bring thoughtful engineering solutions to the team.
• Collaborate across Engineering, Product, and Design in a fast-moving environment.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience and at least 2+ years of experience working in a startup or high-growth technology environment.
• Strong full-stack web development experience.
• Strong hands-on coding experience with a passion for building and improving products.
• Excellent CSS skills and strong understanding of modern frontend development.
• Experience with TypeScript and Next.js strongly preferred.
• Experience working with PostgreSQL and backend APIs.
• Strong understanding of web application architecture and development.
• Ability to take ownership of projects and deliver solutions from idea through production.
• Ability to make thoughtful technical and architectural decisions.
• Strong understanding of software quality, scalability, security, and maintainability.
• Passion for technology and a genuine interest in learning new tools, technologies, and engineering approaches.
• Takes initiative, learns quickly, and is comfortable operating independently.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a lean, fast-moving startup environment.
