Position Summary
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented
Graphic Designer
to join an established manufacturing creative team in Athens, TN.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with the design team and department leadership to execute high-quality design solutions across print and digital media. Your primary responsibilities will center on product label design and updates, print collateral development, production prepress preparation, and product photography editing.
Key Responsibilities
- Label & Packaging Design:
Build, update, and maintain product label files using structured design templates and technical specification documents.
- Brand & Print Collateral:
Create, update, and adapt visual assets across various print mediums while adhering to established brand style guides.
- Product Photography & Editing:
Capture, edit, and retouch product photography for seamless integration into print collateral and digital media.
- File Preparation & Quality Control:
Prepare print-ready and digital final production files, ensuring precise file setup, color accuracy, and technical specifications.
- Quality Assurance:
Rigorously review all design layouts and proofs for accuracy, typography, alignment, and errors prior to final production.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with cross-functional teams to manage project workflows, interpret technical product requirements, and consistently meet delivery deadlines.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Experience
- Minimum:
Associate’s Degree (AA) in Graphic Design or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
- Preferred:
Bachelor’s Degree (BA or BFA) in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field.
Technical Skills & Proficiency
- Adobe Creative Cloud:
Strong proficiency in
InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Adobe Acrobat
.
- Microsoft Office Suite:
Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Print Production Knowledge:
Solid understanding of print processes, color management, layout standards, and pre-press prep.
- Environment:
Comfortable working in a Windows OS design environment.
