Forward Deployed Engineer – Logistics AI Startup

You love sitting with customers and turning what you hear into working software. Help the world's largest logistics companies run on AI agents.

A seed-stage AI startup in San Francisco offers logistics and supply-chain companies a platform for creating AI agents that handle their most critical day-to-day operations. Some of the world's biggest logistics players already use it, from freight to warehousing. You'll own customer projects from the first executive conversation to a live, growing deployment.

No logistics background needed: curiosity and problem-solving count far more.

They're hiring 2 forward deployed engineers.

What you'll own

• Discovery with customer executives and end users
• Setting up the platform for each customer and launching new use cases
• Shipping small features that unblock customers quickly
• Bringing customer needs back to the team so they shape what gets built
• Mostly customer work for now (around four-fifths), shifting over time toward half product work

Must-haves

• A previous customer-facing engineering role (purely internal product work doesn't count)
• You enjoy configuring and extending one core platform, rather than building a one-off product for every customer
• 2+ years of experience, and you read and write Python, Node and Next.js
• Clear communication with executives as well as end users
• Working from the San Francisco office five days a week, 9-9-5

Bonus points

• Forward deployed or deployment work with similar B2B systems
• Early at a startup that grew fast with your help, a top university, or a remarkable rise at a smaller company
• A real interest in logistics
