  • Investigate account fluctuations, discrepancies, and accounting variances while ensuring compliance with GAAP and corporate accounting policies.
  • Oversee manufacturing, project, and service accounting, including inventory, work in progress (WIP), standard costing, work orders, revenue recognition, cost of goods sold, labor, and overhead allocations.
  • Provide technical accounting guidance to business unit accounting personnel, including the RK Mission Critical Senior Project Accountant and Cost Accountant.
  • Partner with Corporate Accounting, Operations, and IT to resolve system and accounting issues, improve financial accuracy, and support consolidated reporting.
  • Strengthen accounting procedures, reconciliations, and internal controls while identifying opportunities to improve processes and support continued growth.
  • Independently identify accounting risks, prioritize issues, and drive timely resolution of complex challenges.
  • Support additional corporate accounting responsibilities and special projects as assigned by the Corporate Controller.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including accounting management or controllership responsibilities.
  • Strong manufacturing, project-based, or operational accounting experience.
  • Solid knowledge of GAAP, general ledger accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, and internal controls.
  • Experience with inventory, WIP, standard costing, revenue recognition, manufacturing cost accounting, and month-end close.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to independently resolve complex accounting and system issues.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across accounting, operations, and IT.
  • Experience in a rapidly growing or changing business environment.
