### **Position Overview**
River Terrace Retirement Community in Bluffton, IN, and Kendallville Manor in Kendallville, IN, are seeking a dedicated and compassionate **Part\-Time Physical Therapist (PT)** to provide rehabilitation services across both facilities.
This position offers approximately **20–25 hours per week split between the two locations**, providing an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on residents' mobility, independence, and overall quality of life.
The ideal candidate is passionate about patient\-centered care, enjoys working with older adults, and is committed to helping residents achieve their highest level of functional independence.
### **Schedule**
- Part\-Time \| Approximately 20–25 hours per week
- Hours split between River Terrace Retirement Community in Bluffton, IN, and Kendallville Manor in Kendallville, IN
- Schedule to be coordinated between both facilities
### **Responsibilities**
- Evaluate residents' physical therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plans based on assessments and functional goals.
- Provide physical therapy interventions to improve strength, balance, mobility, coordination, and range of motion.
- Assist residents in improving functional independence with transfers, ambulation, and activities of daily living.
- Monitor resident progress and modify treatment plans as needed to support optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with nursing staff, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members to coordinate resident care.
- Educate residents, families, and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, mobility techniques, and safety precautions.
- Document evaluations, treatment sessions, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ensure all therapy services comply with applicable state and federal regulations and professional practice standards.
- Promote resident safety and maintain a supportive, encouraging rehabilitation environment.
### **Qualifications**
- Current Indiana Physical Therapist (PT) license in good standing.
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
- Previous experience in skilled nursing, long\-term care, rehabilitation, or geriatric care preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with an interdisciplinary team.
- Commitment to providing compassionate, individualized, patient\-centered care.
- Ability to travel between the Bluffton and Kendallville facilities.
