Data Engineer

Job Summary

As a Data Engineer, you’ll build and maintain reliable data pipelines and platforms that help teams turn complex information into useful insights. You’ll work across public cloud and big data systems, connecting data sources, shaping data for analytics, and supporting business intelligence tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ETL (extract, transform, load) pipelines using Python, Java, SQL, or integration tools such as Informatica and Talend.
• Design data models, dimensional models, and data warehouse structures for SQL databases, cloud databases, and platforms such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and Azure Data Lake.
• Build and support big data solutions using AWS, Hadoop, Apache Hive, and Spark.
• Integrate data through RESTful application programming interfaces (APIs), linked data, and other sources; manage data quality, query performance, and data access.
• Partner with analytics and software development teams using Agile practices; support Looker, model training, and analysis needs.

Qualifications

• Experience in data engineering, data management integration, ETL pipeline development, data modeling, database design, or data warehousing design.
• Working knowledge of SQL, Python, and SQL databases; familiarity with data warehouses, cloud databases, and business intelligence tools.
• Exposure to AWS or other public cloud platforms, big data systems, Hadoop, Spark, or Apache Hive.
• Familiarity with Java, Informatica, Talend, Looker, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Azure Data Lake, or RESTful APIs is valuable.
• Analysis skills and experience with query management are useful; VBA, Bash (Unix shell), and shell scripting are additional assets.

Pay: $117,000.00 - $142,000.00 per year
