The ideal candidate brings hands-on heavy-duty truck knowledge gained through technician, parts counter, dealership, or distribution experience, along with a proactive, relationship-focused sales approach and an understanding of global order fulfillment and export logistics. This is a base plus commission eligible position.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:

+ Develop and execute account plans to grow heavy-duty parts sales, gross profit, and share of wallet within assigned customers and markets.
+ Research and identify prospective customers, markets, industries, product opportunities, and territories that support profitable growth.
+ Conduct proactive outreach to prospective, inactive, and existing customers through phone, email, and other approved sales channels.
+ Build and maintain a pipeline of prospects, sales opportunities, and quotes. Track the follow-ups and account development activity associated with that pipeline.

+ Build and maintain strong relationships with international customers, serving as the primary point of contact for parts sales needs.
+ Conduct regular customer follow-up and account reviews to understand needs, resolve issues, retain and reactivate accounts, and identify additional sales opportunities.
+ Provide responsive, professional customer service and take ownership of issues involving availability, pricing, shipping, returns, credits, or order discrepancies, coordinating internally and externally to resolve them promptly.
- Quoting, Pricing & Order Management:
+ Prepare accurate and timely quotes, confirm product availability, and communicate pricing, lead times, substitutions, and order status to customers.
+ Enter, monitor, and manage customer orders from initial request through invoicing, shipment, delivery, and post-sale follow-up.
+ Follow up on open quotes, pending orders, and customer inquiries to convert opportunities into sales.
- Global Logistics & Export Coordination:

+ Within company procedures, coordinate customer-specific export requirements and ensure export, commercial, and shipping documentation is complete and accurate, including procedures for restricted transactions and international order processing.
- Product Sourcing & Vendor Coordination:
+ Source heavy-duty truck parts through company inventory, OEM channels, distributors, and approved vendors to meet customer requirements.
+ Use multiple sourcing channels and creative problem-solving to locate hard-to-find parts and provide alternative solutions when exact parts are unavailable.
+ Develop and maintain productive supplier and distributor relationships to improve availability, lead times, pricing, and customer solutions.
- Pricing, Margin & Payment Coordination:
+ Manage pricing within established company guidelines and make informed decisions that balance customer competitiveness with profitability.
+ In partnership with Accounting and Credit, coordinate customer payment requirements, including wire transfers, letters of credit, credit terms, deposits, and other approved payment methods.
- Market & Product Knowledge:
+ Maintain current knowledge of heavy-duty truck parts, product updates, cross-references, industry trends, customer needs, and competitive activity.
+ Use market trends, customer buying patterns, and customer insights to recommend new products, stocking opportunities, sourcing strategies, and targeted sales initiatives.
- Sales Performance, Reporting & Administration:
+ Document customer requirements, part number details, pricing decisions, substitutions, and follow-up activity accurately in company systems, and keep account, quote, order, lost sales, and pipeline information current.
