Job Summary

Your expertise will support students’ physical development, mobility, and overall well-being, ensuring they can participate fully in their educational experience. This position offers an opportunity to work closely with educators, families, and other healthcare professionals to foster positive outcomes for children with diverse needs.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of students’ physical abilities, including mobility, strength, coordination, and functional skills
- Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with each student’s unique needs and educational goals
- Implement therapeutic interventions as appropriate
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, school nurses, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and others to coordinate care
- Monitor student progress regularly and adjust treatment strategies accordingly to optimize outcomes
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with medical terminology standards and electronic health records (EHR) management protocols
- Educate students, families, and school staff on exercises, adaptive equipment use, and strategies to support ongoing patient care and community integration
Experience
- Proven experience practicing in a physical therapy role within pediatric outpatient clinics or outpatient rehabilitation centers is helpful
- Prior experience working with children in school or community settings is highly desirable
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, neurology, orthopedics, and pediatrics is required to develop effective treatment plans
- Demonstrated ability to document clinical activities clearly and accurately using EMR systems while adhering to physiotherapy documentation standards
- Experience working with geriatric patients or in home health settings is a plus but not mandatory; however, strong client communication skills are always essential
- Understanding of medical terminology related to pediatrics and neurology ensures precise communication across multidisciplinary teams

Pay: $60. 00 - $75. 00 per hour
Expected hours: 6. 0 – 18. 0 per week
