This is an entrepreneurial Product Manger role with real ownership where you will shape product strategy, identify market opportunities, and drive growth across your product segment.

**Position Overview**

Rice Lake Weighing Systems (RLWS), a global leader in precision weighing technology, is seeking a dynamic **Product Manager** to drive product strategy, innovation, and market leadership across assigned product segments. This role blends entrepreneurial ownership with deep customer engagement, technical insight, and cross‑functional leadership.

You’ll be the voice of the customer, the champion of product excellence, and a key contributor to the future of RLWS’s industry‑leading product portfolio.

**What You’ll Lead \& Achieve**

• **Market Opportunity Recognition** — Identify emerging trends and competitive openings in manufacturing and weighing technology.
• **Customer \& Industry Relationships** — Build strong connections with customers, distributors, suppliers, and internal teams to fuel product success.
• **Product Segment Leadership** — Set strategic direction, establish momentum, and become the go‑to expert for your product segment.
• **Cross‑Functional Collaboration** — Work closely with engineering, marketing, sales, quality, and purchasing to deliver exceptional products.
• **New Product Development** — Provide vision, define requirements, and guide new product launches from concept through post‑sales support.
• **Pricing \& Special Quoting** — Analyze markets, set pricing structures, and collaborate with engineering on custom product feasibility.
• **Forecasting \& Inventory Strategy** — Forecast sales, optimize stocking parameters, and minimize stockouts while maximizing customer satisfaction.
• **Sales \& Profitability Goals** — Develop and monitor segment goals tied to ROI, urgency, and strategic importance.
• **Customer Service Leadership** — Train front‑line teams, identify service gaps, and elevate customer experience.
• **Product Lifecycle Management** — Manage product phase‑in/phase‑out, stagnant inventory, warranty trends, and ECO approvals.
• **Marketing Partnership** — Shape catalogs, literature, website content, media campaigns, and product communications.
• **Industry Awareness** — Stay ahead of legal, legislative, and market shifts to protect and grow business opportunities.

**Minimum Qualifications**

• Bachelor’s degree in **technical field, marketing, sales, or related discipline** preferred
• 5\+ years of **product experience** in customer focused, product related industry preferred
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, forecasting, and organizational skills
• Strong proficiency in **Excel, Word, Outlook, Internet tools**
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage projects, and build customer trust
