About us
ReNew U Therapy & Wellness is an outpatient behavioral health and substance use treatment practice in Youngstown, serving clients across Ohio in person and through telehealth. We offer PHP, IOP, MAT/MOUD, Spravato, individual counseling, case management, and peer recovery support. Our mission is to help people heal, grow, and rediscover purpose through compassionate, evidence-based, and faith-sensitive care.
The role
We're looking for a PMHNP who wants to do meaningful work with people living with mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders. You'll handle psychiatric evaluations and medication management, including MAT/MOUD, and you'll be part of a close team of counselors, case managers, and peer recovery supporters who work together on each client's care.
You'll practice under Ohio APRN licensure with a collaborating physician.
What you'll do
- Complete psychiatric evaluations, including mental status exams, diagnosis, and risk assessment
- Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychotropic medications, and order and review labs as needed
- Evaluate clients for MAT/MOUD (buprenorphine, naltrexone, and other FDA-approved options) and manage induction, stabilization, and maintenance
- Give long-acting injectable antipsychotics and extended-release injectable MAT medications
- Complete biopsychosocial assessments, ASAM level-of-care determinations, and person-centered treatment plans
- Provide individual therapy and co-facilitate groups as needed
- Support crisis intervention and safety planning
- Coordinate with primary care, pharmacies, hospitals, and outside agencies
- Join treatment team meetings and case reviews
- Keep timely, accurate documentation in the EHR
What you'll need
- MSN or DNP from an accredited PMHNP program
- Current, unrestricted Ohio RN and APRN-CNP licenses with prescriptive authority
- PMHNP-BC board certification through ANCC
- Current DEA registration, including Schedule III, to prescribe buprenorphine
- Ability to maintain a Standard Care Arrangement with a collaborating physician
- CPR/BLS and Narcan training
Nice to have
- Experience in community mental health, addiction treatment, or MAT/MOUD
- Comfort with harm-reduction principles and ASAM Criteria
What we offer
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance
- 9 paid holidays
- Paid time off
- Sick time
- Mental health days
- A supportive team that works across disciplines
- A mix of in-person and telehealth work
- The chance to make a real difference for people in recovery in the Mahoning Valley and across Ohio
