Registered Nurse (RN) – Behavioral Health

Location: Logansport, Indiana 46947

Job Type: 13 weeks contract

Shift: 12 hours Days/Nights

Schedule: 12.5-hour shifts with a 30-minute lunch break

Interview: Webcam interview

Work Setting: Onsite

Payrate: $55/hr for days

Payrate: $65/hr for nights

Key Responsibilities

• Prioritize and coordinate daily patient care activities.
• Assess patients' physical and psychosocial conditions and document changes.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized nursing care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols.
• Coordinate patient care assignments and collaborate with clinical staff.
• Monitor and document patients' progress from admission through discharge.
• Supervise and guide support staff to ensure quality patient care.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and agitated patient situations.
• Educate patients and family members about medications, procedures, and treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate nursing notes, medical records, and other required documentation.
• Ensure compliance with infection control, safety standards, and facility policies.
• Support staff orientation and promote a safe therapeutic environment.

Required Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited college.
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana or a license from a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) participating state at the time of submission.
• Ability to use electronic medical records and computer applications.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical-thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with patients and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with adult and geriatric populations.
• Cerner EMR experience preferred; Epic experience will also be considered.
• Current CPR certification preferred.

Behavioral intervention training or experience preferred. Bridge Building training will be provided during orientation.
