About this role

As the founding entity of RAINBOW PARTNERS, Quanteam is a consulting firm specialized in Banking, Finance, and Financial Services.

Through our core human values - proximity, teamwork, diversity, excellence - our 1000 expert consultants, hailing from 35 different nationalities, collaborate across 13 international offices: Paris, Lyon, New York, Montreal, London, Brussels, Luxembourg, Geneva, Lisbon, Porto, Casablanca, Madrid and Singapore.

A global energy major is strengthening its Power trading IT team in Houston. We are looking for a sharp, adaptable Business Analyst who wants to grow across a variety of high-impact projects within a fast-moving trading environment.

What you will do

  • Join a growing trading technology team and work across multiple Power-related projects as priorities evolve
  • Gather and document requirements with traders, operations, risk and IT stakeholders
  • Translate business needs into clear functional specifications, user stories and test cases
  • Analyze data with SQL to investigate issues, validate results and support decision-making
  • Support testing (UAT), go-lives and day-to-day improvements of trading and operations systems
  • Act as a reliable bridge between business and technical teams

What you bring

  • 2 to 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Technology Analyst or similar role
  • Solid IT background: you understand systems, data flows and how applications fit together
  • Hands-on SQL skills
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal, with both business and technical audiences
  • Curiosity, a fast learning curve and the ability to adapt quickly to new topics and projects

Nice to have

  • Exposure to US Power markets (ERCOT, PJM, MISO, CAISO) or energy/commodity trading
  • Experience with an ETRM platform
  • Python, Power BI or advanced Excel
