Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients' physical and mental abilities through assessments and observations.
- Develop personalized treatment plans aimed at improving patients' ability to perform daily activities (ADLs).
- Implement therapeutic interventions, including exercises and activities designed to enhance motor skills, coordination, and strength.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including speech therapists, nurses, and physicians, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, progress, and strategies for continued improvement at home.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Stay updated on the latest practices in occupational therapy through continuous education and professional development.
Skills
- Proficient in medical terminology relevant to occupational therapy.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology as it relates to patient care.
- Experience in pediatrics or early intervention is a plus.
- Familiarity with acute care settings, including ICU environments.
- Ability to provide effective speech therapy techniques when necessary.
- Competence in home health care practices for patients requiring therapy in their living environments.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple patient cases effectively.

Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
