About this role

ProVantage Corporate Solutions

Raleigh, NC (On-site)

Compensation: $70,000 - $85,000 | Full-time | FLSA: Exempt

Are You a Systems Thinker and a Tinkerer?

Do you see connections others miss? Have you rebuilt a spreadsheet or questioned a workflow because you saw a smarter approach? You want to understand the assumptions and decisions behind the numbers.

We value that curiosity when it comes with accuracy, follow-through, and a willingness to do the daily work well.

The Opportunity

At ProVantage Corporate Solutions, we execute complex retail projects across North America, including store setups, remodels, merchandising, and fixture installations. Each project connects labor, schedules, costs, productivity, and execution decisions.

We need a Business Analyst to manage daily bids and financial reviews, connect estimates to actual results, and strengthen how we plan the next project. You will reliably operate today's processes while proposing and testing better ones for leadership approval.

What You Will Do

  • Prepare accurate, timely bids using project scope and operating assumptions supplied by Operations.
  • Review analogous projects and historical results from ProVantage’s ERP system to validate estimates and flag material differences.
  • Maintain the bid register, assumptions register, supporting records, and revision histories.
  • Document approved bid assumptions and provide organized handoffs to project execution teams.
  • Analyze active projects against bid assumptions and prepare clear, recurring variance reports for Operations.
  • Review completed projects, distinguish estimating deviations from execution factors, and improve future bid inputs.
  • Identify inefficient workflows, explore AI and other tools, test practical improvements, and recommend changes for leadership approval.

Role allocation: approximately 50% bidding and tracking, 20% in-progress analysis, and 30% post-project review and improvement.

You Will Probably Enjoy This Role If

You see dependencies and root causes, enjoy testing ideas, explain findings plainly, and take pride in dependable execution and documentation. Tinkering is a plus; excellent financial judgment and follow-through come first.

What You Will Bring:

  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in finance, bid, project, or operational analysis.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills, with a strong understanding of costs, margins, budgets, and variances.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, collaboration, and clear written and verbal communication.
  • Comfortable using or learning AI tools to support analysis, efficiency, and problem-solving.

Experience in construction, field services, project-based operations, or improving analytical tools and processes is helpful, but not required.
