$95,000-$105,000/year
Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated
Occupational Therapist
in Brooklyn, NY. This role focuses on providing individualized occupational therapy services to children and young adults ages
3-21
with developmental disabilities. The OT will help students improve functional skills, independence, and overall quality of life through personalized therapy plans and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized occupational therapy evaluations and treatment sessions.
- Develop and implement therapy plans aligned with students' needs and goals.
- Support students in improving fine motor skills, sensory processing, daily living skills, and functional independence.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and related service providers to support student development and IEP goals.
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment strategies as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation and therapy records.
- Recommend strategies and activities that can be carried over into classroom and home environments.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
- Active New York State Occupational Therapy License required.
- Experience working with children with disabilities preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
