As an IT systems engineer consultant within the OCTO(Organization of Chief Technology Officer) Data Security organization, you’ll serve as the Product Owner for the Data Security team. In this role, you'll help shape the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of enterprise capabilities that protect Progressive's data, systems, customers, and business operations.
The team supports encryption and decryption services, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Data Activity Monitoring (DAM), Enterprise PKI, digital certificate management, and key management. You'll partner with customers, security engineers, architects, Agile delivery partners, and vendors to define product direction and prioritize work.
You'll help ensure the delivery of secure, reliable solutions that provide measurable business value. This is a high-visibility role with opportunities to influence the future of Progressive's Data Security capabilities.
This an remote position with occasional travel to an office for an meeting/and or training
Minimum qualifications
- Minimum of 9 years related experience working with operating system hardware and/or software components in a large IT environment with many categories of devices, infrastructures and operating systems.
- {OR} Associate's degree or higher in an Information Technology discipline, Math or other related field of study and a minimum of 8 years working with operating system hardware and/or software components in a large IT environment with many categories of devices, infrastructures, and operating systems.
Preferred skills
- Proven experience developing product strategies, roadmaps, and prioritized backlogs by translating business, security, compliance, and operational needs.
- Experience and knowledge of enterprise security technologies such as encryption, key management, PKI, digital certificates, DLP, and data monitoring solutions.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, influencing, and collaboration skills; ability to build relationships across business and technology teams.
- Experience working in Agile environments and promoting Agile and LEAN practices to improve delivery outcomes.
- Demonstrates curiosity, adaptability, and a continuous learning mindset, with a passion for exploring emerging technologies and advancing security knowledge and capabilities
Compensation
- $166,000 - $184,500/year
- Gainshare annual cash incentive payment up to 50% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
