About this role
Position Overview: Platypus Marine is a full-service indoor shipyard specializing in the construction, repair, refit, and maintenance of recreational, commercial, and government vessels.
The Corporate Controller will lead the company’s accounting and financial reporting functions, overseeing month-end closing, financial reporting, job costing, accounting operations, process improvement, internal controls, and management of the accounting team.
The ideal candidate is an experienced, hands-on accounting leader with strong technical and computer skills, demonstrated job-costing experience, and the ability to design efficient processes and effective internal controls.

Because Platypus Marine performs work for government customers, the Corporate Controller must be highly disciplined, detail-oriented, and capable of establishing accounting processes and controls that support accurate cost capture, contract reporting, audit readiness, and compliance with applicable contractual and regulatory requirements.
