Commercial Leasing Attorney — 7+ Years

A well-established New York City real estate law practice is seeking an experienced Commercial Leasing Attorney to join its growing transactional team.

The firm has a longstanding and sophisticated commercial real estate practice representing landlords, tenants, business owners and other real estate clients in the negotiation and documentation of commercial leasing transactions throughout New York City.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of meaningful commercial leasing experience and be comfortable independently handling transactions from initial term sheet through lease execution.

The Role

The attorney will advise clients on a broad range of commercial leasing matters, including:

• Office, retail and other commercial leases
• Landlord and tenant representation
• Lease drafting and negotiation
• Letters of intent and term sheets
• Lease renewals and amendments
• Assignments and subleases
• Personal and good-guy guarantees
• Operating expenses, real estate taxes and additional rent provisions
• Build-outs, tenant improvements and repair obligations
• Rent concessions and landlord contributions
• Compliance and use provisions
• Day-to-day leasing and real estate counseling

Qualifications

Candidates should have

7+ years of commercial real estate experience with a significant concentration in leasing

, strong drafting and negotiation skills, and the ability to manage transactions with limited supervision. Admission to the

New York Bar

is required.
